Elementary Program created learning resources are available for the homeroom teacher(s) to assign for a day's worth of work.  The Short-Term Remote Learning Packages are provided to support families who request a time-limited virtual learning option and/or for students who may be screened out of in-person learning.  To access the Short-Term Remote Learning daily packages, log in using an LKDSB.com account and navigate to the site below.

Tools that Educators Use to Bring Learning to Students

Google Classroom and Seesaw are the learning platforms that LKDSB teachers use to engage students in learning during face-to-face learning and remote learning. Thank you to all who have been helping out a fellow teacher and sharing resources and ideas.  So many creative, time-saving and engaging tools are in use.

Seesaw's Drawing Tool has so many features that bring learning alive.

Many students benefit from having access to a recording of the instructions. 

Google’s Jamboard can be adapted for so many different activities like sharing ideas, Number Talks, and storytelling.

Everyone will get an individual digital whiteboard, where they can draw, write text, make notations on images, add math equations, and more!

You, as a teacher, can see all your students' whiteboards in real-time, so you can follow their progress, while the students only see their own whiteboard and the teacher's.
